Our founder, Kayla, has an eclectic history. She has always been a whiz with numbers; her father was a computer science & mathematics professor at the University of Akron. Being homeschooled most of her life gave her to opportunity to excel academically. She graduated high-school at 16, after participating in two years of post secondary education! Kayla decided to major in Accounting and continued taking college courses over the next few years. Although she loved working with numbers, she did not see herself enjoying or fitting in to the world of corporate accounting.

After much thought, she decided to entirely switch gears, attended trade school at Lincoln Electric, and became a certified welder! Over the years she worked in factories building liquid tank trailers, dump trucks, and heavy equipment attachments. She absolutely loved welding, and excelled in that industry, but unfortunately a back injury rendered continuing her welding career impossible.
